Geoffrey Michiels has an extensive background in different sports and martial arts… He started with Judo, then fencing and Kyokushinkai Karate.
Afterwards he did a lot of Fitness, combined with Wing Shun and finally Krav Maga. After some inspiring encounters he decided to practice golf, rock climbing, Cross training, Crossfit and Salsa.
4 years ago he started doing something completely different, Sivananda Hatha Yoga with Haein Cho and discovered AcroYoga together with all the current teachers in Belgium.
Since then it has been one workshop after the other, immersions in India, assisting teachers in daily classes, assisting in workshops abroad, teaching at the Circus School in Brussels...
The passion for the sport made him focus only on his AcroYoga practice and Thai Massage. He’s one of the pillars of the AcroYogic community in Brussels. Training with the best around the world, making videos, organising jams,…
AcroYoga has been sweeping the world with its unique approach. It is immediately liked by almost everyone who sees it. It speaks clearly to human needs/desires of connection, touch & playfulness.
What to expect from a AY class ?
AcroYoga is movement : connection : play : community.
AcroYoga is a dynamic partner practice that blends the wisdom of yoga, the dynamic power of acrobatics, and the loving kindness of healing arts. These three lineages form the foundation of a partner practice that cultivates trust, playfulness, and community.
Jenny Sauer-Klein and Jason Nemer co-founded the practice in 2003, which has since touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of people world-wide. AcroYoga International supports AcroYoga as a practice that is available for every body, age, and ability. We support all beings through movement, connection, and play.
